Self Efficacy

This overview summarized Bandura's approach to self efficacy including definitions. It is an excellent introduction to a discussion of this concept. We will start discussion the week of June 1.

Assignment, will be discussion points for June 1. No need to write, we will discuss these in class.

1. What are the elements of self-efficacy that are most important for learners?

2. What methods might you undertake to help develop positive self-efficacy in learners who are struggling.

3. Provide from your own experience with learners, and example of a learner with high self efficacy and one with low self efficacy. What did you do?

4. Analyze the "Imposter syndrome". What can that person do to fit into a situation?

5. Differentiate between self-efficacy and self-evaluation. 

 

Slides on Self Efficacy: This will be discussed in class with the slides shown, so no need to look at them right now.
