Resilience

Page history last edited by Bev Wood 13 years, 10 months ago

Resilience is the ability to "bounce back" from setbacks and keep heading for your goal.

Humans tend to seek control, and change disrupts the sense of control and alters our expectations.

Where and when do we experience change and its consequent loss of control?

     Job

     Organization

     Living situation

     Life circumstances

     Family

     Relationships

The major personal characteristics that define resilience

     Positive attitude

     Focused plans

     Flexible thinking

     Organized  (Yourself, the World)

     Proactive  (Social, Personal)

It is wise to build a resilience development plan (Hint: you might want to start with the positive attitude).

Check your resilience level (resilience 3). Also build a resilience development plan (resilience 2).
